Web Project Management. Brand Strategy. Resource Development.
The Law Courts Education Society of BC was contracted by the Department of Justice Canada to pioneer the development a set of pilot websites for victims and witnesses of crime. I was hired by LCES to manage the lifecycle of this high-profile .5 million dollar project.
This aspect of the project – Victimsinfo.ca – is a government endorsed information resource for victims and witnesses of crime. It was developed for a variety of users including marginalized groups, seniors and the hearing impaired.
My role consisted of directing and managing all aspects of development and pilot programming. This included developing brand strategy, hiring and managing creative workers, producing a series of videos for use on the site, managing site design and content development, developing proposals, budgets and reports, developing and implementing marketing campaigns, and building relationships with key government and community service stakeholders across Canada.
Victimsinfo.ca was recently purchased by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General of British Columbia, Canada for VictimLink, British Columbia’s telephone referral agency for victims. It will become VictimLink’s face on the web and primary information resource.

The Law Courts Education Society of BC delivers legal education programs and services to the general public and schools. Part of their mission is to assist marginalized members of the community who may find themselves in the court system.
During my tenure there as Web Programs Manager, I managed the development of an interactive, animated website designed to educate Aboriginal teen parents about parenting during separation and divorce. The project involved a Vancouver design firm, Aboriginal writers and editors, and an advisory group consisting of Aboriginal elders and representatives from the courts and community counselling agencies.
The website – Aboriginal Parenting After Separation – is currently being used in conjunction with court mandated workshops.
